Apple Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2. c. cooking oil

  • 2 c. sugar

  • 3 eggs

  • 3 c. sifted flour

  • 1 t. salt

  • 1 t. soda

  • 2 t. vanilla

Instructions

  1. Combine and beat oil, sugar, and eggs for three minutes on medium speed.

  2. Add flour, salt, soda, and vanilla.

  3. Fold in apples and optional pecans.

  4. Bake in tube or bundt pan, which has been greased and floured, for 1 hr. and 20 minutes at 325. 

  5. Check after one hour.

Notes:

This is good with homemade caramel sauce poured over the cake when hot.
