Baked Spaghetti

Ingredients

  • 2 slices bacon

  • 1 clove garlic

  • 2 medium onions, chopped

  • 1 pound ground beef

  • 1 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1 tsp chili powder

  • 2 1/2 cups water

  • 16 ounces tomato sauce

  • 1/2 cup sliced green olives

  • 1/2 pound of spaghetti, uncooked

  • 1 cup grated sharp cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Fry bacon. Remove from pan and sauté garlic and onions in drippings.

  2. Brown meat in the same pan, drain.

  3. Stir in seasonings, water, tomato sauce, olives, and crumbled bacon.

  4. Cover and simmer 35 minutes.

  5. Grease a 2 quart casserole dish.

  6. Break up half of the uncooked spaghetti in the bottom. Cover with half of meat sauce and half of grated cheese.

  7. Repeat with remaining spaghetti, meat sauce, and cheese.

  8. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes, covered.

  9. Uncover and bake 15 more minutes.
