Green Beans

Ingredients

  • 2 (16 oz) cans cut Green Beans

  • 10 strips Bacon

  • 6 T Sugar

  • 6 T Vinegar

  • ¼ C Slivered Almonds

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven to 350 degrees.

  2. Rinse Green Beans thoroughly, drain and set aside.

  3. In a large skillet, cook Bacon until browned and crisp. Remove the Bacon and crumble, reserving the drippings in the skillet.

  4. To the hot Bacon drippings, add the Sugar and Vinegar and stir until sugar is totally dissolved.

  5. Mix Bacon and Almonds into the Green Beans and put into a large casserole dish.

  6. Pour Bacon drippings with the Sugar and Vinegar over the Green Beans and place, uncovered, into a 350-degree oven and cook for 45 minutes or until heated through.

Should make 6 - 8 servings.
