Real Texas Chili

Ingredients

  • 3 pounds stew, beef

  • Garlic

  • 4 to 6 tablespoons chili powder

  • 2 teaspoons ground cumin

  • 3 tablespoon flour

  • 1 tablespoon or oregano

  • 2 cans of beef broth

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

  • Sour cream

Instructions

  1. Stir meat in pot till it changes color.

  2. Add garlic.

  3. Mix chili powder, cumin, and flour and sprinkle over meat

  4. Add 1 1/2 cups broth -  salt and pepper

  5. Simmer about 1.5 hours

  6. Add remaining broth and simmer till meat falls apart

  7. Then add one canned chili beans or kidney beans

  8. Serve each with a glob of sour cream on top
