Salad CrouToms

Tom Rohn

Ingredients

  • 1 stick butter

  • 4 slices stale (not moldy) bread

  • Garlic (Minced, crushed, or powder)

  • Grated parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Melt butter in 12-in skillet over low heat. Season to taste with garlic. Add 3 tablespoons parmesan cheese. Stir butter, garlic, and Parmesan to make thin paste.

  2. Remove crust and cube bread into crouton sized pieces. If the bread is not dry, place an oven after cubing and allow to dry.

  3. Add bread cubes to butter mixture and sturgently until all the butter has been absorbed.

  4. Bake in 250 to 300° oven until croutons are golden brown. Turn occasionally while browning.

  5. Remove from oven and allow to cool for about 1 hour before serving.

Notes:

Make more than you need as people love to eat them as a snack while they are cooking and cooling.
